poetic reading
Easter marches are approaching. May Day is not far off, and loose cobblestones lie around here. The tram shelter becomes a shooting gallery. The traffic barriers, with their round yellow lamp heads, turn into shooting gallery figures, sometimes hit, sometimes not. Are shooting galleries at fairs places that train throwing stones and similar objects?
Objective description
Construction is underway in the tram track bed. Red-and-white striped traffic barriers stand there. In this film, they do not remain still but perform a small ballet, interrupted by strange stones being thrown into the empty shelter.
Plausible association
At the roadside, in a forest of signs. Each sign a command. Here, the signs come alive in a dance, reminding us that placing traffic signs is also a communicative act – an indirect relationship with the users of the street.
Artistic intention
Looking for a lighthearted way to engage with the construction site in front of the tram shelter, the traffic signs were brought to life.
